Care Instructions
Sheepskins naturally shrug off most day to day dirt and muck, requiring only a quick shake outside to rid them of dust and debris, and to restore the pile. They do appreciate the ocassional grooming session - use the metal side of a dog brush to detangle any matted wool.
Small spills can be dealt with using a wet wipe. Mud should be allowed to dry and then be brushed out.
For spilled liquid, pile on the salt. Keep piling it on until it stays dry, then vacuum off with the nozzle.
In the case of an absolute disaster, head to Amazon and search for a sheepskin shampoo and follow the instructions. Be aware; it is not washing sheepskins that damages them - it's the way you dry them. Do not dry over a radiator or in a tumble drier as this will make the leather harden. Instead dry outside in the shade. If you can periodically massage the leather while drying, this will help prevent it becoming stiff.
